The simple things in life genuinely do make the largest impacts. Whether it be an event, a post, a book, a website, a person, a design, a building, or even a town, each and every object that exists in life can and will impact your life. Yet, it seems as though the simplest things impact us the most. This is no coincidence. Seek simplicity. It will change your life.
60 Days Challenge
Today is day 24 into my 60 days bikram yoga challenge.
The idea of the challenge is to complete 60 classes in 60 days. I’ve signed up to the challenge aiming to complete at least 40 classes out of the 60 days. Tonight was the first time I gave 110% of every posture to perfection, I don’t know where the energy came from that made the physically impossible possible but it was awesome. This is also the first time I ever physically challenged myself to do something I’ve never done (steaming myself in a 47degrees room doing crazy poses for 90min everyday lol) and I’m starting to see and feel a tremendous change in my body. I think I can go even further. So far I have completed 16 classes, which is not a bad progress, but I still need to try harder not to skip classes.
Sometimes it can be difficult to find balance in life, however, if you are willing to try your best, I believe you will find yourself getting closer and closer to success, no matter how little the step is and how long it will take.
I started living by myself last year after mum and someone I treated as my family moved back overseas. Times have been tough; managing the whole household and looking after my dog (she will always be my little baby!) whilst balancing full-time work and social life, at the same time maintaining or even improving my physical, mental and emotional well-being, are not easy tasks (especially the emotional part). Too many things have happened in the past 8 months, my mind has been restless and same with my body. On some days, I did feel like a single mother struggling to play both the mother and father role on my own, but I have managed to find my peace so that pain can be made enjoyable. lol.
You know there’s always a good and bad side to everything in this world and whichever side you choose to look at things is totally up to you, so why be sad if you know you can be happy?:)
Just a belated update: I have successfully completed the challenge and reached my goal! yay! :) I know I could have gotten even better results if I hadn’t taken a few days off for my Melbourne trip, but accomplishing something that you have never done before is such a great feeling!
p.s. I’m going to be getting ready for my next challenge ;)
